The glorious sun shone brightly in the saphire sky. Columns of creamy white clouds glided carelessly in the vast blue sky.Lauren woke up feeling perky and all ready to enjoy her saturday. The lean and athletic girl bounded out off bed to wash up and have a hearty breakfast. Pulling back her long, brown shiny hair into a neat ponytail, Lauren was geared up for the first programme on her sturday's itenary, which was to go roller blading with her puppy, Natty.

Lauren put on her spanking new roller blades and leashed Natty, holding the excited puppy in her hands. Both Lauren and her pet were in high spirits as they set out to the park that was a stone's throw away. Natty was waging her tail excitedly as it jogged alongside while lauren cruised along the pavement. Feeling the fresh breeze caressing her face, Lauren accelerated. Natty picked up speed to pace Lauren. Suddenly, out of the blue Lauren cought sight of a slope ahead.

Sensing grave danger ahead,lauren attempted an emergency brake. All was too late. The slope was too steep! She released the leash that held Natty just before she went free-wheeling down the slope. She wasehading for a big tree! Natty was barking frantically as it chased after Lauren. The poor girl crashed into a sturdy tree with a resounding thud and toppled in a pathetic heap. She bumped her head and scraped her arms. Natty was barking erratically as it cicled lauren. Knowing that the poor puppy was badly traumatised, Lauren took Natty in her arms and tried to comfort it. She quickly took out her handphone to call her parents for help. Thank goodness she only suffered superficial injuries!!
